One Teacher, One body, one love!
Agape Lounge Members Commune with God and with Each other
ALM is a Christian, non-profit fellowship. We believe that the work of the early church, as recorded in the book of Acts, is what the church should continue to be. What does that mean exactly? It means that the body of believers should be filled with the Holy Spirit and follow that leading. This means that the church should be equipped by God to meet the needs of people as we come across them. The overarching goal is to lead people into the joyous life of freedom in Jesus Christ. There are many avenues for us to meet people and offer this message, but we know that the way this is done is by serving the people around us. Agape Lounge Ministries' mission statement is to bring hope and encouragement to the community and to equip its members for success. We do this by offering services to our elderly neighbors, either in their own homes or in facilities. We offer support for addicts who are seeking recovery. We hold Bible studies, prayer meetings, spiritual workshops, and meditations. We companion with the houseless, by offering them food, clothing, meetings, and friendship. ALM also seeks to help people who want to finish their diploma, enhance their education, or get a GED. We offer writing workshops of different kinds, and we also offer tutoring for those who have specific academic needs. We love to gather and study the Bible, and when we are in service to each other, the love of the Bible manifests in our personal lives, and we never feel more like our true selves than when we are in this service!
